Use this flow when your phone storage is getting full and you want a safe offline cleanup.

Open ClearVault and scan files

Select Full Backup, Scan Files, or Scan Large Files. ClearVault reads metadata only.

Choose USB/SSD or computer

Pick a SAF folder on external storage, or pair with ClearVault Receiver on the same Wi-Fi.

Copy and verify

The app copies files into type folders such as Images, Videos, Audio, Documents, Downloads, and WhatsApp.

Review the result

Check copied, verified, failed, and clearable storage before deleting anything.

Delete verified files only

ClearVault asks before deletion and only removes files marked verified.

How to use the desktop receiver

Download and extract

Download the Receiver ZIP on your Windows PC, then right-click it and choose Extract All.

Open the launcher

Open the extracted folder and double-click the ClearVault Receiver launcher. Keep the window open during backup.

Allow private network access

If Windows Firewall asks, allow access on Private networks so your phone can reach the receiver on the same Wi-Fi.

Pair your phone

In the Android app, choose Computer via Wi-Fi and enter the IP address, port, and pairing code shown by the receiver.

Accept and start backup

Approve the pairing request on your PC, tap Verify on the phone, then start the backup. Files are saved by type automatically.

Check saved files

After backup, open ClearVault_Backups on your PC to view Images, Videos, Audio, Documents, Downloads, WhatsApp, and reports.

Does ClearVault upload to cloud?

No. The MVP backs up to USB/SSD/pendrive or to your own PC receiver over local Wi-Fi.

Can files be deleted automatically?

The app is designed around verified-only deletion. It asks before deleting and never deletes failed or unverified files.

What if USB disconnects during backup?

The session becomes partial. Pending or unverified files remain on the phone.

What is the pairing code for?

The receiver only accepts phones paired with a short-lived code and desktop approval.

How do I use ClearVault Receiver on Windows?

Download the receiver ZIP, extract it, open the ClearVault Receiver launcher, allow Private network access if Windows asks, then pair from the Android app using the shown IP address, port, and pairing code.

Where are computer backups saved?

Backups are stored in organized folders under ClearVault_Backups with separate folders for Images, Videos, Audio, Documents, Downloads, WhatsApp, and Others.
